    19th May, 2024. May run
A great turnout fot the May Run. Something a bi different for this month starting later in the afternoon at Silky Oak where we enjoyed an hour of catching up and chatting.We then drove to view a small fabulous car collection enjoying the stories that went with the cars. After thanking our hosts we then drove to the Bay View Hotel for our Pig on the Spit dinner. There was much laughter and talking amongst the groups. A fabulous day.

Subday 28th April Stag Run
The day was a beautiful, cloud free typical Hawkes Bay Autumn Day as 24 of us met in Havelock for our run. We left just after 10.30 with our run sheets in hand and headed off to find the answer to our first question. The run took us out to the Pakipaki roundabout the to Mangaroa Road and out to Whakapirau road to some magnificent scenery of both the ranges and farmland. We passed Argyll School and drove on to Skinny Mulligans in Waipawa. We enjoyed some social time over lunch before prizegiving.

Special Prize :Reg Greenwood Beard for most unusual piece of rubbish collected
Reg also took the prize for the record speed recorded on Speed Monitor at Waipawa, by exceeding the 50kph. by 2kph.

February 20th Mystery Tour

Great turnout for the February run today.  We started with a coffee at the Coffee Club in Hastings before heading off out to Havelock North with our route map and a sheet of photos to find along the way.  Lunch today was at Off the Track followed by prizegiving.  First place was taken out by Jenny & Jeff and Jane & Murray.  A bag of minties was awarded to John for the Minties Moment as his choice of car for the day, his MG Brayshaw, had a flat battery so he had to bring his Jaguar E Type.  Thank you everyone for turning up and supporting your Committee.  What a great bunch of people we have attending our outings.
